Roigard, Jordie and my third vote for exceeding my expectations and proving me wrong goes to Luke Jacobson

Kirwan

Jordie, Darry, and Roigard for me

ACT Crusader

LJ, Jordan, Darry

Bones

Darry, Jordie and meant to do Roigard but tapped Dmac

ARHS

Jacobson and Roigard were the best I thought. But Jordan Jordie Darry and Lord impressed me too. Love and Dmac added a lot of spark.

Without having done my rewatch and not having read the thread yet I'm surprised by the Jordie nominations, I thought he had a few errors that would have ruled him out of contention.

Weirdly, considering their size difference I was muddling him up with Love on occasion. I think I must have caught Nisbett-itis.

I will have to focus on him on my rewatch in the morning.

Victor Meldrew

@Nepia

He made some errors but also some superb touches. And he did the basics to a solid, high level

Thought Barrett was excellent. Tackled well, linked well, got a bit more stuck into the breakdown than we've seen in the past - wonder if he's been asked to add that string to his bow? Not a key skill but we've seen how much of a weapon that is when Tupaea gets involved.

Some of Jordie's passing was sloppy af.

Some of his passing was also brilliant. One cut out pass led to a try.

Frank

Darry had an immense workrate.
BIGGA approved!!!!!;

I thought he and Lord were a nice contrasting high-work combo. Lord still looks skinny to me but he got into it and carried well.

I am having trouble with Ardie's stats on one hand and what I and others saw on the other. Did notice some key turnovers but didn't really notice him as much as Lakai in half 1 and LJ in half 2 and for quite a few carries he seemed well taken care of by the French-is he just good at being undercover or are his stats more impressive than his impact?

taniwharugby

@nostrildamus i assume you were inferring he had good stats but you, like me thought he wasnt upto it?

Meaning he was doing.donkey work.instead of the.flash Harry stuff...

Yeah that is what I am wondering. Didn't see it live and was too caught up in the game to keep an eye on him in particular.

taniwharugby

@nostrildamus i thought he was really ineffective until Sititi came on, his.workrate upped, made a couple of nice t/o...

KiwiMurph

Darry, Roigard and Jacobson for me. Really pleased with the locks - even Hannah showed good energy off of the bench.

Canes4life

Roigard, LJ and Lakai

@nostrildamus crucial turn over and quick tap lead to first AB try when under pressure after YC - captain stood up when needed ?

Forgot what thread I was in and thought you were proposing this as a future loose forward combination.

Roigard, Jacobsen and Dmac - mainly for keeping the cutter in shape while Love was off after a horror start, it could have been so much worse but he steadied the ship and honestly it didn't look like we were a man down.

Darry for workrate, McKenzie for taking control during the card, and EDG for me.
