Have some oil that Taha Kemara is coming home,
That sentence sounds like Kemera is definitely going to the Chiefs.

Hard to see Kemara moving to the Chiefs, the guy has pretty much solidified himself as the preferred option ahead of Reihana, was much better this season. Mo'unga only signed for 18 months, I expect those 18 months will be all she wrote for him in NZL. Not sure why he'd sign to 2029. World Cup will likely be all he's wanting and then will finish his career in Japan.
Kemara to the Chiefs would be his current Crusaders situation but worse. Dmac will go a lot longer than Mo'unga will, why play 2nd fiddle to Dmac till possibly end of 2031 when you can play starting 10 in 2028 and beyond if the 18 months is it for Richie?

This is what you said. Dmac is signed until 2029 with a sabbatical in 28. The rumours are Mo'unga is about to re-sign for the Crusaders until 2029, along with that comes the rumour Kemara coming to the Chiefs and getting out of contract early. Nothing is concrete until it's concrete. The Mo'unga rumour is from @chris who always has the good oil. The Kemara one that I posted comes from a good source, but again, nothing is concrete til its concrete. Welcome to the Fern.
For sure and totally get you guys have good sources, apologies if I'm sounding incredibly dumb but logics wise neither move makes sense. My point is Kemara going to the Chiefs is the same role he'd have at the Crusaders with maybe one year as starting FH if Dmac takes his sabbatical and that's it, he'd still be playing the same amount of minutes. Arguably Reihana should be the one to head to the Chiefs, no? He's been there before and is the 3rd choice of the fly halves for the Crusaders imo especially after how Kemara performed in the second half of the season.
Also I suppose how Mo'unga is placed by Rennie is what will determine whether he extends to 29 or not. If he's a 3rd or 4th pick FH he won't stick around surely, he might if he's a 2nd choice and that's likely to be the best he'll get. I don't see him moving ahead of Love at least anytime soon.
Maybe I'm very wrong and again apologies if I'm sounding incredibly dumb, just very much out of the loop and certainly new here.

There's plenty of non rugby reasons for players to move too. Maybe there'e a woman involved, maybe he thinks Christchurch is shit, maybe he doesn't like some team mates/coaches etc etc
Also much greater chance of minutes at the Chiefs with McKenzie capable of playing 15. Mo'unga is an out and out 10.

Yep, considering he's out test 15 currently. For the Chiefs he's best utilised at 10, but if Kemara can come in and fulfil his promise then he could be a good shout.
