Yellow card.

Kirwan

Well, the feet can't get much more vertical, jesus. Did he drive into the ground or let go? Red if so, yellow if he let go.

Yep, if he was driven into the ground then it's red clear as day.

antipodean

He's broken his fall by placing an arm out - makes it a YC.

@kiwiwomble What's the contention?

thats the explanation we;ve been given, didnt think the player saving themsleves was a mitigator but apparebty so

he rode him all the way to the ground, the tackler falls off his feet so couldnt really "drive" but he doesnt let go

@kiwiwomble It's been like that forever - if you save yourself from potentially catastrophic injury then it doesn't meet the threshold for a red card.

Not an interpretation I agree with I might add.

canefan

Pretty dangerous. Easy YC, could have been close to RC if they didn't bail out

no one realised till we asked about citing it, lesson learnt

Bones

Yeah that's bizarre, certainly don't recall hearing that mitigation or seeing it at test level.

MajorStokes

I doubt there is a commentator on the planet who knows that rule too.

Still always hard to go on, but that looks as red as red can be from the pics.

junior

Red card at first glance but, because the ball carrier looks like he plays for 'House, probably a deserved penalty try for the defending team.
