How do you preview posts before you hit the Submit button?

I'm finding the black text on white a bit harsh, I liked the grey background - made it easier to read. Can we change this anywhere?

There are four shades of the theme, you can change those with the selector in the header. Multiple clicks cycle through them, or you can right click to see all the options.

I think the new editor doesn't have a preview anymore.

If you click here, it's give you WYSIWYG editor, no need for preview

Looks great.

One issue I'm having is that it always defaults to darker mode whenever I access it on my computer. This happens even after I set it to light mode in the previous session. I'm using Firefox.

In the TSF Help category, you'll see a tab called Support Issues. If you log an issue there, we'll knock them out, saves time looking in threads or having us log them.

It isn't the theme background - it's the text background when you post. It's either black or white. (Unless I'm missing something...)

ok gotcha. To be honest, not likely to change that (think can of worms, impossible to please everyone). The site is also optimised for dark mode too.

Maybe we'll add another couple of themes in the future. Low on the priority list for now

yeah, we had dualing cookies. It's just one now, so that error shouldn't happen anymore

Sorry about that. We could see a few people having that problem

@kirwan pushed some new code 20mins ago. So maybe that resolved it

I think I'm being logged out everytime I close the browser on my phone. Is that the new normal?

Try deleting your browser cache to make sure you have the recent cookie fixes

Just tested it here on iPhone and it’s working properly here, so likely cookies like Duluth said.

The updates to the Rugby match threads look absolutely brilliant. Thanks guys.

Looking forward to seeing the commentary bot in live action.

Presume the 'app' version of the site hasn't had all the updates just yet? Can't seem to post on there nor is there an 'Unread' option on the bottom nav bar but not sure if this is worth reporting as a bug just yet.

Did that, deleted all cookies, no joy. It's a minor inconvenience to log in

As in creating an app from the site? Working good for me apart from the login issue, but I've been too lazy to sort cookies.

I know I go on about Will, but fuck me I've probably spotted over a thousand generic posts about Razor's past activities.

So in the old UI, you could select part of a post then the quote button would just copy that part. Any chance of that being added?

Had the same problem as @canefan all day with the site logging me out when closing browser - even with cache cleared. Suddenly came good a couple of hours ago.

still not working for me, but I'll keep an eye on it and report if it is not working tomorrow

Morning, I'm collating the feedback and will move some items into issues. Obviously working on the cookie issues, and some nice suggestions here about QOL improvements.

I'll see if I can sort out that scrolling UI on mobile as well.

Ok, the cookie fix has been applied and I've been testing it for the last 90mins (it was timing out after 10mins) and it's looking good on the desktop and mobile.

You may get logged out one more time, but the cookie created for the next login should be good for 90 days.

My phone was logging out constantly. The new session has been logged in for ~90mins now

The fix only applies to new sessions. Also it's probably worth doing a refresh to make sure you have all the latest fixes

Looks like I need new glasses.

So I fixed the cookie issue and opened the door to tens of thousands of bots (even though we have protection in place for that).

Have better protection in place now, and it seems stable. Will watch it this evening.

Lot's of stability fixes.

It should be more usable now and hopefully the frequency of code changes drops now

The login problem seems to be fixed now. My phone was logging me out constantly. That connection has been stable for 6.5 hours now

If you are still having issues try deleting your browser cache and log in again

This is why we picked a week with no rugby to make changes..

@duluth did it just go down for 2-3 hours or just me? Was getting unauthorised every way I tried.

A couple of things - firstly I have to log in each time. I have checked the box to stay logged in but no luck. Secondly, on the help page (above) I get a 404 page not found message.

Clear the browser cache, and delete the cookies, the next login should be good from here.
