@KiwiMurph was only Scotland....

Argies generally have the wood on the French in RWCs

For all the piss and bluster, a strong Argies is fantastic for world rugby, hopefully the Jaguares can transform Super form into International form now.

Funny how you "forgot" the 2007 and 2015 World Cup I wonder why

At least you can see how Jaguares can potentially transform Super Rugby & bring it back to its glory days of strength vs strength

With AUS rugby being a 🤡 show & SA rugby being decimated by a weak rand + quotas as well as bad coaching & governance

NZ rugby is also likely to decline as well

Highlanders in 2020 will essentially be a Mitre Cup full of journeymen plus A Smith Iaone & Coltman + Blues remaining a basket case

Mickey mouse league in Japan threatens to extract copious amounts of NZ talent

Jaguares offers a chance for a team to emerge with a stable of young emerging talent with Int'l quality throughout team & best atmosphere of any Super Rugby ground

TV time is good for AUS/NZ market

Possibly. It's also a struggle trying to remember all the "stunning" results that Argentina have delivered during the World Cup.

Beating France in the opening game of RWC 2007 which led to some game in Cardiff.

Knocking out the favoured Ireland in 2015 by cutting them apart with some fantastic tries.

Fair point.

Failing to make it out of the group stages on four occasions isn't flash though.

And for good measure dusting up the French for a 2nd time in 3rd/4th playoff in 2007

I should have made it clear when I meant last 3 world cups as they're the ones I've watched & freshest in minds of fans under 30

Goes both ways. You've conveniently forgotten Argentinas efforts in WCs between 1987-1995.

You're comparing apples to oranges

Amateur era very different to nowadays/recent times

Plus I had no interest or recollection of rugby then

taniwharugby

@Jaguares4real no, I think you need to check the responses...you are so busy with all your fishing lines oyu have no idea what bait is being responded too and which fish is biting and if one is biting at all.

I responded to a specific quote, that wasnt even yours then you are saying I am conveniently forgetting somethign.

Aw ok. Based on that logic I'll sit and hope all the achievements of Pinetree, Lochore, Brownlie etc are expunged from the record books.

Those guys were so shit none of them even played in a World Cup.

Not only that they all retired before I was even born so their records are completely irrelevant.

Who are those guys?

Never heard of them 🤔 🙄 🙄

Seriously though I'm very familiar with Pinetree and Lochore a bit as well

Really ?

Even though they only played meaningless friendlies?

TBF I do that all the time. I have conveniently forgotten whole RWCs that I was actually present at. Might have been the result of alcohol, or just results. I don't remember.

KiwiMurph

Great crowd in Argentina.

Looks well over 40k.

Canerbry

A gift for the Hags after the Bumboys butcher fielding a kick.

Stargazer

The Jaguares are well ahead now. They're taking their opportunities, without doing anything spectacular. Brumbies are just utter shit thus far.

Canerbry

20-0 after 20 mins, looks like a long night ahead for the Bumboys. They're just looking lazy - travel?

kiwiinmelb

Have the brumbies checked out ?

Maybe. But their game plan fucking sucks if they can't win a lineout

KiwiMurph

Brumbies keep themselves in the game through their only 2 weapons - scrum and lineout drive.

20-7 halftime.

ACT Crusader

Surprise surprise a tiny variation in the Brumbies attack and they make 30 metres through halfback and centre combination.

Led to the pressure and try.

Stargazer

I have to agree with the commentators that the officials have missed quite a few forward passes and some knock-ons from the Jaguares, but I'm not sure it would have changed much. The Brumbies are just making too many mistakes.

Stargazer

Was there obstruction in the lead-up of that Jaguares' try?

Stargazer

Apparently not. What about that high tackle by the Brumbies player though?

Stargazer

I can't see the Brumbies come back from this. The Jaguares have been ruthless and have taken advantage of every error from the ponies.

shark

This is well over with ten to play. Great to have something different happening in the finals this season. If the Canes pull off an upset tonight, at least we get to see a different kind of final in terms of venue, time zone, atmosphere etc and a real anything-could-happen game too.

Outside of a 10 min spell at end of 1st half this game has been an annihilation

Jaguares have carved up Brumbies when they've wanted to

They match this performance & they have an excellent chance of winning in C'church or hosting Canes

KiwiMurph

Awesome work Jaguares.

They were brilliant. Dominant. One of their best performances this year.

Cubelli my man of the match.

Well deserved finalists who will take some beating.

Good to see a boring limited Brumbies side smashed. Jaguares are far more entertaining.

shark

Fuck off Phil Kearns. He just called the Jaguares a national side, again. And then he referred to the Crusaders as a national side as well so probably wants us booted out of the comp as well.

The Jaguares are celebrating like they just won the final. Ruh roh, for them.

They just played their final mate. See how crazy the players were after the whistle. You've got a chance if the Canes win tonight due to home advantage and the Canes having to recover from what everyone refers to as one of the hardest time zone changes, but if they have to travel they'll get annihilated.

KiwiMurph

@shark Jaguares celebrated like that last week.

Didn't seem to bother them this week.

Jaguares have travelled well this year.

Their scrum looks a real weakness but otherwise they look a real threat.

Stargazer

The funny thing is that the ABs won't select players for the test against the Pumas in Argentina, who are involved in playing the SR final, while the Jaguares are now in the SR final and will provide the bulk of the players to the Pumas squad for that same test match.

@shark what a tosser - his beloved waratahs would have been chock full of internationals at some stage

Well I thought I’d go through mortality never agreeing with Phil, but he’s on to something I reckon.

they're argentinian mate, they celebrate like that if they find a good parking spot.
jags did it really easy, brumbies were incompetent at the lineout. anyone is a massive underdog travelling to christchurch, but those fellas deserve their spot.

Chris

@ACT-Crusader To make Kearns happy lets just ban all international players from SR except for The Warratahs seems fair enough.

So it will be fair, all good
