So 3 RWC refs (O’Keeffe, Williams and Gardner) didn't officiate in any of the 7 Super rugby playoff games.

Meeting their powder dry

Also SA ref in game with SA conference winner in it, the stitch is on!

Stargazer

Geez, that's a lot of bandage for a broken finger.

Nah, Peyper is a homer like Jackson.

@Chris I was implying that WR and SANZAAR have a different view on the refs. 😉

Chris

@Bovidae Yeah I know I was agreeing but in a basic way

that's a bit shit for crotty and barrett eh, big losses.
ennor is a gun i reckon, quick off the mark, good hands and one of our few backs who can hold their depth and hit a pass with pace. goodhue we all know is excellent, so surely they'll sort themselves out.
not so convinced about the locking options. romano is okay, strange hasn't kicked on, dunshea's been okay. none of them have had a season that is a patch on ennor's though.

to play Bateman at 12, which wouldn't be such a bad choice if he had played a few more gam

I believe Will Jordan is fit again from his foot injury

If he's match fit I'd play him at 15, move Havilli to 12 with Ennor #23

If he;s not match fit I'd move Goodhue to 12, Ennor to 13 & Jordan #23

I happened to see Havili at 12 in one game and he looked very at home.

If RC was leader of backline defence I wonder who is his designated deputy, if there is one.

Stargazer

@pakman Havili played at 12 for Ta$man all season in 2018. Captained the team as well.

Stargazer

@pakman I saw photos of the Crusaders training today. Ennor was wearing the 13 jersey. Not sure whether that also means that that's where he'll play.

ACT Crusader

Goodhue is a natural centre and defensively is very good there. At 12 he was iffy and add to that Ennor really struggled defensively at centre.

In attack Ennor has the goods.

Whilst it seems unlikely I would feel far more comfortable with:

12 - Havili
13 - Goodhue
15 - Jordan

23 - Ennor

Stargazer

@ACT-Crusader Jordan was really weak at fullback in the Sharks game, and things improved a lot when Bridge moved to fullback when they took off Jordan. So another option might be:

11 - Ennor
12 - Havili
13 - Goodhue
15 - Bridge

23 - Jordan

Jordan had an off-day but he must not be condemned on this sole game. However, he has been injured for a while now so it is hard to see him jump into the starting XV for the final.
