Match thread

The sheer number of Ireland cleaners who just flop over the ruck, sealing off the ball. I counted 3 piled on top of each other in one ruck alone.

The Irishman

Pure class from Hansen

Super slick from Ireland

James Lowe entered that ruck on the wing sideways from 9 o clock position and just tackled a bloke.

Billy Tell

Tonga have been fairly ropey.

@Steve they do it with such speed though. Like ABs used to when everyone used to whinge about their ruck entries 😬

Great stepping there, and some poor tackle efforts there.

I

sparky

Ireland so strong, so organised.

@sparky very. Next week against SA is going to be some game.

Everyone of them know and trust what the other is going to do - impressive - and out there giving it all for each other.....

Pre-Sexton I used to like supporting Ireland.... I just can't stand him.... I'm such a small petty man

Jailbreak7

Tonga has been awful, falling off tackles, messing around with the ball on the ground, just a training run for Ireland.

Billy Tell

It will take a good side to stop Ireland. Not us anyway.

Andy Farrell will be coaching the Lions in 2025 then.

Jailbreak7

What has happened to Fekitoa, Piutau, they used to be good.

@kiwiinmelb how many of this team play for Leinster? A fair number. 10? It shows. They know each other so well.

Yeah they look like a well oiled machine, very few errors

And pretty simple rugby too... get some momentum up front and then some nice back play - usually a change of line or an inside ball --- but hey have a # of players hitting each ruck regardless - nice to watch

Billy Tell

Well done Barnes. He’s no carley.

kiwiinmelb

The game against South Africa is a must watch ,

Irelands precision against South Africa’s brutality

Most of those prodigal sons who have returned are ready for the knackers yard.

Billy Tell

That try (just) keeps game alive.

Ireland almost AB like with their (lack of) discipline.

are the halves allowed around the scrum like that - or that rule not being played in RWC?

Jailbreak7

@kiwiinmelb Yes. It been a sell out for months.

Smart by Ireland taking Sexton off.

How many times will Barnes allow Ireland to lean over the ruck and touch the ball with hands. Clearly illegal and slows Tonga down.

Billy Tell

Just crap from the 10

Havili…must be the name 🙈

How many penalties have Ireland conceded now?

the bounce of the rugby ball ... but a clever little kick with chasers ready to chase....

taniwharugby

@hydro11 like thier defence line it.pushes up quick, flat and disciplined.
