Jonker the Plonker strikes again. No consistency across the games.
Jonker is not the bunker ref. If you’re going to give out at least know how the system works.

I really don't understand how Horie's card stayed yellow, but Lam's gets upgraded to red. IMO both should have received red.
I do, and I am not condoning it. There was a slight dip in Horie's case, head to head. Lam's was a straight shoulder to head with a higher degree of danger.

It has to come back to the human factor -- unconscious bias vs conscious bias.... I personally think there is a bit of both at play...
Remember its only a few weeks ago Farrell got down graded .......and then consider some of the non-citing's ...... Its a bloody mess

Knock on. Deliberately
Now you are talking bollocks, he had both hands down to grab it and one arm was hit by the Samoan players

First view I thought deliberate.
On replay I was wrong.
Am I allowed to say that on TSF?

Cracking watch
Credit to both teams
Jaco did very well
Indeed, tho I am very unsure how both him and the liney missed Lam's tackle right in front of them
@Billy-Tell I know there is another nameless TMO but I can't criticise them if I don't know who they are.
The Horie tackle was no different to Ta'avao's, and we know how that ended.
that was a fun game of footy. Japan tackled like demons, but Samoa created enough only to throw a shit 50/50 and cede possession
That 2nd last Samoa try was a thing of absolute beauty. 20 pick and goes just smashing Japanese players. A flick pass, and a quick spread. Gorgeous.
@Machpants said in RWC Week 4: Japan v Samoa:
Samoa dangerous as when they just pick and smash in the centre, knocking the Japs back like ten pins
That was their strength, yet on a number of occasions they showed a lack of patience and just threw the ball wide.
I enjoyed the match overall, but there were some frustrating patches watching Samoa. They actually could be a fantastic 10-man rugby game team, if they wanted to be.

TBF up to that point the best TMO performance to date
Quick, concise, accurate
TMO doesn’t make bunker decisions. Different bloke

TMO starts the ball rolling though, no?
He/she checks something
Then chooses to inform the ref
Last night the TMO saw something, checked it, and told the ref crack on not worth checking
If Bunker fucked up then I’ll take that onboard
I may have confused which incident you were talking about to be fair. I thought you were talking about the yellow not being upgraded. Apologies

No apologies needed
I thought the TMO was good but let himself down by not upgrading the YC to RC
You've informed me that the TMO doesn't make that decision, which I didn't know
So I guess what we're saying is 'Hitler' in his bunker fucked up but Jaco and the TMO had a great match
