I think the Boks will be fine but the one position which should be interesting to see how the transition goes is tighthead prop. I've kept a pretty close eye on Wilco Louw during the July Tests and while he's an incredible scrummager, he looked at times to struggle with the pace of the game, being exposed a bit in the defensive line and putting in some rather lazy looking cleans.
Frans Malherbe was great in that sense: not only was he excellent in the set piece, he also brought a lot of value around the field. Louw will probably need to start showing more in that regard, otherwise I could see how he'd be overtaken by someone like Ntlabakanye sooner rather than later. Ntlabakanye might look out of shape but he's surprisingly mobile for his size, with a big engine on him.
