Both teams deserve to lose.
No game management at all.
You cant concede 45 points and expect to win a match.

Rassie's teams can.
One of the greatest rugby games of all time.
Epic stuff and the game was in the balance until the last moment.
Yes. I really didn't want a England win as it would be a win for two teams I dislike.
Basketball rugby, I'm surprised Stephen Jones hasn't dropped dead so he can roll over in his grave at that scoreline.
A game of that drama did not deserve that jersey clash.
Not sure I ever could do a re-watch. It was tedious enough on the eyes.

48-46.
94 points. Crazy stuff.
<NH ragebaiting>
Clearly powderpuff rugby where defence is optional with a score like that.

Well at least we didn't have to suffer Ireland winning the 6N
They could have ... tried?
France are a basket case.
Dupont's reputation is doing some heavy lifting for his game management skills.
You cant be conceding 46 points at home.

Yeah but a team featuring Dupont won and he's a fuckhead.
It's not exactly great either way.
Need to get Tangitau into the Allblacks sharpish.
Speed on the wing makes some difference. It stretches the field laterally. The defence cant cheat.
It was too easy for teams to deal with Reece, later day Rieko, Telea and even Clarke to an extent. They knew they wouldnt be gassed.

Reiko has pace and some power, Telea is slippery as an eel and Clarke has power and deceptive pace.
Agree on all counts with Reece though.
That high tackle was weird. Dude tackled the supporting player without the ball. Itoje was fine.

While all your points are valid, the point im making is the defending winger cant bite in as easily with Tangitau loitering with intent out there. You can give a Telea or a Reece a few yards of a head start.
It should free up a yard of space for the centres and presumably we could upskill him into a kick chase weapon too.
We need top end gas in the Allblacks.

Shaun Edwards has passed his expiry date.
There's no defending that performance.
Ba Dum Tish.

WIthout looking at any stats I think it is Tangitaus acceleration that sets him apart from the others. Ioane and Clarke certainly don't lack top end speed.
......and yes, I hope he gets selected to debut this year.

Clarke is a great winger, in his own way, but we lack a winger who when put in space...is gone.
From 60m out etc.
I have many memories of Clarke in space, falling over when trying to change direction or approaching contact.
Dont want him dropped or anything but we cant have tugboats from 9-15....which is what I felt we had for the last few years, bar Jordan.
It's another reason Roigard not playing in the RWC final was one of Fozzies biggest mistakes.
He had skinned about 6 Springboks from a standing start from 55m a few weeks before.
He was another threat they would have had to worry about.
Our team is/was choc full of backs who didnt cause the opposition any problems.
