England's ruck speed for their last try was rapid. I thought they'd won it with that effort.
Henry Pollock cupping his ear and shushing the crowd came back to bite him, his side and his nation in the arse.
I hope the young lad learns a bit more humility now and is told to respect the opposition and the traditions of the game a bit more.

Can someone please explain why teams are more than happy to go 15 phases grinding out territory when they’re 5m or less from the line but when it comes to going through the phases on halfway with 90 seconds to go when you’re in the lead away from home and the opposition have a player in the bin your scrum half decides to box kick the ball away, badly I may add
I said that to Mrs Meldrew at the time- "England have probably blown the game with that kick" Dumber than the Genge YC.
Great game notwithstanding the clashing of the jerseys. England with the shackles off are a completely different side to the dull, formulaic side that have stunk up this 6N. The performance and the closeness of the result will likely save Borthwick's job but in reality it is an indictment of his methodology previous to this game and should result in his P45.
But it won't.
I just hope that there are enough sufficiently loud voices to drown out his statistically driven drivel going forward.
Interestingly, England with only the one win out of five were second behind France in the number of tries scored.
If we'd managed to squeak that win by let's say JvP not kicking the ball away with 90 seconds to go when he had a pod of forwards to truck it up we would then have had a great quiz question for the future - Who is the only player in the 6N to score four tries and end up on the losing side?
@game_film Why would you shush the Stade de France crowd (and in plain site of the opposition) with two minutes to go in a tight test with the result and the championship on the line, unless you are an utter knob without any understanding of the game?
Henry Pollock? Henry Plonker, more like.
The lad needs help.
Watching back some highlights I think LBB was in front of the kicker (Ramos) for his 4th try. Poor work by the TMO cost England the match and Ireland the Championship.

Obviously feels the cold too. Always has a top on under his jersey.
great game, amazing tournament. Where has that England been and why can't Borthwick get that out of the players when there's pressure on as opposed to when we're playing for pride and his job?
Stories from inside the camp suggest Maro has been a shell of himself this tournament around the training ground etc, not surprising really after losing his mum. Thought he had a good game but the knock on at the end was infuriating. The high tackle from Davidson was a phase or two before the ref actually gave the decision which is why people are confused. I'm biased so struggling to work out if i thought that was a pen or not. A few decisions went against us in the game, which always happens but when its decided by the last kick its always easy to point at them.
England overview: A very decent set of players, poorly coached (who on earth is coaching Roebuck's defensive positioning when his inside backs are drifting and he's sprinting up into the opposition line?). I suspect Steve will stay, but i think changes will be made to save his skin, personally I'd get rid of Wigglesworth and El Abd and find actual coaches. If there was a top class coach floating around at the moment i'd believe this England squad could do real damage to the top of the table over the next 18 months
France - no idea what to say really, their pack don't look as good as I thought they were, their backs are electric, but their heads go down still, like the old days. Well deserved tournament victory, saw some stats last night that showed they were 1st for almost every single positive metric over the tournament.
Ho hum, 1 win from 5 matches, worst ever result in the 6N, first time we've finished behind Italy on the table, with that squad? There should be consequences, I bet there won't be.
Fantastic effort by the players to spare the rest of us an England squad with a decent coach. Thank you and great work.

I believe that he has been anointed with the moniker Henry Pillock on here. Personally I would prefer something stronger, but it works.
