Donsteppa

Ruled out the horses briefly, but smoke in an indoor stadium? Dumb arses.

antipodean

Hannah really is a poor player - put into a gap he manages to ignore his support and flings it to the marked winger.

Everybody take a breath

Bones

Viljeon with an epic steal followed by a moronic kick

That offload by Cooper Roberts was special

Cooper Robert’s NRL scouts will be sitting up

Bones

Why have I not heard of this guy before?

@Bones you will defintely hear about him this NPC campaign for ta$man

Im yet to see what impresses the Canes coaches so much from Rova.

so are Christchurch hot boxing the new stadium tonight?

KiwiMurph

Continue to be impressed by Preston

@Mattasaurus looks like they are trying to recreate the fog final

antipodean

Fihaki showing an amazing ability to place his team under pressure instead of calmly recycling ball.

Reece in this sort game is out the gate

antipodean

The commentators busy fluffing Reece's ability to out jump Viljoen

frugby

Some of the work around names has been poor - even by Nisbett's and Marshall's standards.

Well, Nisbo’s old and Marshall’s stupid, so to be expected really

Because you did not watch the 2025 NZ U20 side. He was one of the standouts. Was very good for Ta$man in the NPC as well.

Gee I reckon Reece would have made a superb 7s play maker
So bloody elusive and the balance and offloading ability is sic
And boy is he having night out !

This second half looks live an NPC game.

antipodean

Well done Bailyn - that's Ardie chip kicking from his 22 level dumb.

Canes4life

Glad I captained Reece tonight

I can kinda see why they'd be looking to get him on field experience. Just needs to get upstairs sorted and seems to have everything else, could end up being Reece with pace.

@cgrant to be fair wasn’t really a lot for the Canes to play for and once all the changes were made at the break especially with the hosts so far ahead it was always going to be a case both teams throwing the ball around

TheMojoman

I expected Saders by 20+ given the Canes changes.

You'd want to avoid the Saders at all costs in the first round of finals which unfortunately looks to be vs Blues. We need a win tomorrow, an absolute otherwise we're done for the week after at Te Kaha.

KiwiMurph

@TheMojoman worth noting one of the four semi finalists will be a first playoff week loser

Bovidae

Did Meg propose to Reece after the game?

Berry wouldn't know a knock-on if it was right in front of him.

Not bad with his hands either!

@KiwiMurph his box kick that Reece caught was utterly rubbish, he was lucky Reese outjumped the midget Cane 9. A kick like that against a good Bok or French outfit could really put his team under pressure.

MiketheSnow

Just watched the highlights

Reece was back to his best

Some lovely tries from the Crusaders

Why couldn't McNicol play like that in/for Wales?

ARHS

Very entertaining display from Sevu Reece. Well done and congratulations.

Not necessarily saying Rova will follow the same trajectory, but the general opinion of Billy Proctor until maybe 2024 was that he was complete mud and the decision to sign him on a five-year deal was almost universally panned. He's doing ok now.

Sure but he also had plenty of good box kicks and it's not like he's competing with Fourie Du Preez for an AB shirt.

@KiwiMurph agreed. I would have him on the tour to Africa as number 3 behind Roigard and Hotham.

Reeces best isnt good enough at international level.

Thats the problem.

France, England, Ireland , South Africa, Argentina will deal with him quite easily and have done since 2019.
