I expected Saders by 20+ given the Canes changes.
You'd want to avoid the Saders at all costs in the first round of finals which unfortunately looks to be vs Blues. We need a win tomorrow, an absolute otherwise we're done for the week after at Te Kaha.

@KiwiMurph his box kick that Reece caught was utterly rubbish, he was lucky Reese outjumped the midget Cane 9. A kick like that against a good Bok or French outfit could really put his team under pressure.

Not necessarily saying Rova will follow the same trajectory, but the general opinion of Billy Proctor until maybe 2024 was that he was complete mud and the decision to sign him on a five-year deal was almost universally panned. He's doing ok now.

Sure but he also had plenty of good box kicks and it's not like he's competing with Fourie Du Preez for an AB shirt.

Reeces best isnt good enough at international level.

France, England, Ireland , South Africa, Argentina will deal with him quite easily and have done since 2019.
@Jet agree too slow, the memories of LBB ghosting past him a few years back were a reminder his time is up in the AB jersey. Kolbe also made him look slow and I wouldn't put Kolbe in the elite category of pace. Kolbe has incredible acceleration but his pace over more than 20m is ordinary compared to other elite wingers.
Poliko looked seriously bad tonight for a guy who should be fighting for a spot. Swatted off by havili like he was nothing.
Flanders looked ok at times but out of his depth as a debutant would in a fair beating
Timu actually added some value I thought.
Filimone looked like shit
Viljoen shouldn’t look as scattered as he still does
Needed to have bason in there I think he should be getting game time over one of those 2.
Again, decent entertaining game of footy.
Sith were better from the start.

Nisbett doesn't even engage his brain when he says his cliches anymore, he did the "Harkin with all his pace" when he got the ball about a metre from the defence and hit it up.

Well game was more or less as expected. The Canes boys that haven't played bugger all ran out of steam a bit in second half after lack of time together showed a bit, There (as most would expect) a bit of a disconnect in midfield on defence at times, and loosies seemed to struggle to operate as a unit.
I was interested (and pleased) to hear both coaches say after game they were a bit pissed etc. Although I it was good to hear Laidlaw say they would still do a full review etc as players , even though newbies, deserved that. You need to review games like that if you want players to learn.

Interesting to see how Harkin and Moorby went playing for the Highlanders. Harkin a number of errors, and Moorby not much ball to do anything with.
Reece by far the best outside back on display, yuck.
Fihaki in a dominant team... just is not a winger. Roberts looked like the 2nd coming of Riley Higgins out there.
