Have the NRL pitched the Dogs up against the Warriors because they see this as a battle of two low-brow / lower socio-economic (predominant Bankstown and South Auckland supporter bases), even dare I say 'ethnic' based clubs??

Shaun Johnson returns to Mt Smart would have been a better opener to the season. All the head honchos in the NRL had to do was just send the Doggies to Newcastle to play the Knights and away we go.

I'm looking forward to having the NRL back tonight, and the AFL next week. Footy from Thursday to Sunday arvo, heaps to choose from.
Might mean i watch less horse racing, and gamble a heap less.
But probably drink more.
