@bayimports Yeah some good middle forwards coming through for them. I assume they'll move Fifita closer to the ruck instead of hanging out on an edge like he did at Brisbane and they'll use him like Taumalolo? If Cam Smith went there for a season or 2 they'd be damaging. Even Harry Grant or someone, they're a good 9 away from being a threat imo.
It was signalled in August that Herbert was playing for his future and might not have his contract renewed.
@bayimports He's not really a wing, despite the fact they kept playing him there this year, he's a centre who performed well when he had a season there. But I guess they just bought a "big name" centre so he's a casualty.
He had to many defensive issues at centre and why under Payten he was shifted to the wing, also why they looked to buy Aitken who is certainly not noted as an attacking centre but one who was very impressively defensively. Doesn't mean he can't become a centre again, just didn't work out for us.

Since Cam Smith has brought property about 10 minutes from Robina, if he decides to go around one more year, then Titans should be pushing hard for it. Be stupid not to ask him at least. If you add a decent nine, you're right, their spine would be insane.
They could use Fifita like Taumalolo and because he is so talented could work, but he is so young and damaging on the edge, I would be surprised if they bring him into the middle. I guess it depends on who is fit at the time, but I would keep him on the edge myself.
@bayimports Will be interesting with Fifita, I'd like to see him used like Taumalolo but then again they might wanna ease him in there and start him off wider. At the same time, if they're throwing all that money at him, they'll want him involved as much as possible. Either way it's exciting times for the Titans.
Going to be an interesting elimination final Roosters v Raiders, both very good teams. Big Papa is made for league, what a start by the Raiders!
If Keary doesn’t come back it could be game over already, although I am sure Raiders fans would hate me to kiss of death them. Losing Keary would be huge..

Will add, even with Keary back on, Raiders dominating so far. Looking the goods so far
@bayimports The Roosters have looked off since kickoff. They're getting done through the middle so far, a usual strength of the Roosters.

For a young player, Radley was a massive loss for them.
Finally a law in league that's better than rugby. At least those boofheads know that you can't jump from outside the sideline!
And then the boofheads deny a clever piece of skill for a nice leveller. Raiders intense, deserve to prevail.
League is definitely SBW's game.
Great game, well done Raiders no three peat for the roosters. Will be hard for the other elimination final to match that one.
That was a really great game of football. Thoroughly entertaining and both sides are fucked!!
SBW with a great offload for the last try. He was pretty good tonight despite not being fit enough
Michael Jennings has pissed hot. Roids and growth hormones. That's that career done and if Parra had any hopes of scraping through this weekend, they are also gone. Their backline is toast.

Old bloke trying to hang on. Bit sad really
“Jennings was tested on the 21st of September with the positive result received on the 9th of October.”
Interesting timing.
What intrigues me in any of these types of development is who else knew?

Yeah, he was probably good enough to hold down a spot without it (definitely in the Superleague). Stink way to end his career.
I just hope there are not any more prominent(actually any) players juicing. Especially not older guys. Wouldn't want to name anyone because I don't want to cast aspersions without good at least someone else doing it first.... :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:

Cracking five minutes by Eels to get themselves back into the match against the Bunnies.
That Jennings try was special.
As hard as it is to say it, but that was a very good win by the Rabbits.
Panthers need to do their duty for club and country and beat this mob next week.
@antipodean their fans are as bad as each other. The wailing and gnashing of teeth coming from the Pies fans tonight is not a pretty sight, but enjoyable

Do they have enough teeth to gnash?

@NTA you’re out west aren’t you Nick? Eels fan?
Man I can’t stand the Rabbits. The Eels have their fair share of grubs but nothing like the Rabbits.
Nominally - don't really follow league as I find it a bit repetitive.
My Rugby club shares training facilities with them, so would like to see them do well. Lot of Parra fans in the club but a few in the Souths, Penriff and Raiders camps as well.

No flies on Bennett. Old cnut just refuses to disappear.
Probably would have done better in the test today if he was coaching instead of Fozzie.
Plus @mariner4life's blow up when Wayne somehow manages to find a long lost grandparent for Darius Boyd and then his selection in the ABs would be a sight to behold.
Big night for @kiwiinmelb with both his teams playing.
This game is a stitch up
Got both the AFL and NRL on, now just the AFL...

Yeah was great , had the tigers on the tv and the storm on the laptop ,
Big weekend next weekend
Every time I complain about rugby refs, I should pause and reflect on how incompetent league refs can be on a much simpler game.
Also - how overrated is Wayne Bennett? Let's see him coach the Bulldogs.
