@Nepia more when you go back to hay days of toopi. Jones, lauatitii etc the NZ guys weren’t shit they were amazing plus adding in your campions, lucks, marsh, price etc. now look, Pappalii was meant to be next big NZ thing but he is terrible modern day back rower. Only Harris, Ah Mau, RTS, moemalo and fusitua are NZ players who would make 17 every week of most teams.
Actually, we could have a thread on gross shit we've seen (done!?) in a court session or on an end of season trip.
We could call it the hypocrites thread.
You really don't get the distinction at all, do you? That's rhetorical by the way. In case you don't get that, either.

Your mention of the Aussies feeds into my point, we had good and sometimes great Ockers filling the spots we had gaps in back then, now we don't. Green was a great player, his body simply can not keep up with his brain so far, Egan might be good but we haven't seen evidence of it so far, Burr is a plodder whose only talent seems to be he's a white Australian dude.
Our squad is dud, our two best players came from the Storm and Chocks despite the fact they're Kiwis. It's not a local talent issue, there's enough young Kiwis running around in the NRL but the Warriors just can't seem to access that talent.
After watching the shit show from the Warriors last night I kind of wish the NRL got canned as well. I kind of thought the Warriors might adopt a siege mentality due to the circumstances and put in some good performances, but they don't have the right leaders to enable that.
I saw Steve Price at the Bulldogs game and got sad.
The coaches are shit. The players are not top 8 standard. Mentally they are as resilient as a wet news paper.
I blame Tony Iro the most.
The Warriors won't last the season and the opposition might as well have a bye and bank the 2 pts rather than playing for 80 mins.
@Mick-Gold-Coast-QLD word doing the rounds over this side of the ditch, now that AFL has decided to pull the plug is that the NRL will pull the plug at the conclusion of this weekend round..common sense prevails..!
DUMB ARSES. Quite likely Aussie/Queensland will go in lockdown.
Uncrediballistict!!!! Surely this is just someone trying to make news that isn't really there (I didn't bother clicking on the link)
@taniwharugby Yes. From Tigers on FB:
OFFICIAL – The NRL is taking the unprecedented step of suspending the season due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

hardly unprecedented when everyone else has already done it!
You get the impression they really did not want to do it ,
But the pressure coming from outside forced their hand

So while the NRL is frantically trying to come up with a solution and everyone's taken a pay cut of 71%, apparently the FTA broadcaster (Channel 9) thinks the solution isn't worth as much...
The proposal to have a rebooted competition up and running again without crowds in the midst of the coronavirus crisis, however, has not won the support of the game’s long-time free-to-air broadcaster Nine.
Nine chief executive Hugh Marks has told the NRL there is less value attached to the game being played behind closed doors and under a different structure and the media company wants to negotiate a new contract with the code.
Channel 9 basically calling for heads to roll...

Not sure if this is welcome news....
At least I'll get to have my weekly anger release!
The Australia based NRL fans now kindly vowing to adopt the Warriors as their second favourite team are in for a rude shock.

Suckers for punishment are league fans
Displaying the effects of accumulated head injuries, Souths captain Adam Reynolds compares Latrell Mitchell to Michael Jordan.

I think the generic term is "morans" but I watch the warriors on occasion when I need to feel superior about picking a sports result correctly. So I fit in as both a sucker and moran.

well, kinda
still moranic
Latrell is copping shit because he's a dumb fluffybunny doing dumb shit at a time when there is nothing else to talk about.

So are the Cowboys, Broncos and Titans just playing each other or has that halfwit Palaszczuk opened the border for league players?

if she was the one that blocked the footy, she wouldn't get the chance to get voted out...

So her protestations about keeping Queenslanders safe is clearly bullshit.
you're surprised? it's a chance for potshots at NSW (her bitchy comment about the NSW Premier's trip to the Far North i found particularly fucking stupid)
