@taniwharugby I did admire their blind gumption for a while there. They had a crack !

You get the impression they really did not want to do it ,

But the pressure coming from outside forced their hand

So while the NRL is frantically trying to come up with a solution and everyone's taken a pay cut of 71%, apparently the FTA broadcaster (Channel 9) thinks the solution isn't worth as much...

The proposal to have a rebooted competition up and running again without crowds in the midst of the coronavirus crisis, however, has not won the support of the game’s long-time free-to-air broadcaster Nine.

Nine chief executive Hugh Marks has told the NRL there is less value attached to the game being played behind closed doors and under a different structure and the media company wants to negotiate a new contract with the code.

Channel 9 basically calling for heads to roll...

@Bones and shit has gone as downhill for Locke as it has for the Warriors since then. He always lacked size (lol if they selected Tomkins to address that) but was electric in 2011. Must have been a real kick in the nuts, although it sounds like he took a while to mature.

Queensland have just announce they will open their borders for NRL starting on May 28th
