Texans will be stoked. If that's the price for Stafford then Watson is at least twice that.

Lions new GM is the Rams old head of college scouting, so must believe that Goff can be a genuine QB in this league. They have so much draft capital now they have the potential to go on a really good run.

Rams window is now tiny. A couple of years with Stafford before he goes into decline and the talent draught starts to bite.

@Cyclops Part of that price for Stafford was because Lions were willing to take on Goff's big contract. Without Goff the price would have been less.

It's a great move for the Lions - they are at the beginning of the rebuild so even if they don't rate Goff particularly highly they can afford him for the next two years and by doing so they got more picks - plus at worst he can be a bridge QB for the next guy they think is their long term QB.

Yeah I hadn't realised quite how much Goff's deal had guaranteed.

Definitely a win for the Lions. A qb at 7 is even possible and they can take their time to develop them behind Goff.

The Rams last first round pick was Goff in 2016 and they currently don't have another until 2024.

Don't get me wrong, if there was a game winning drive that needed to be executed to save my life, there is no other person ever that i would want under centre.

Tom Brady isn't physically gifted. He's not that strong, he's not that fast. He's not even that big at 6'4 and 225.

But Tom Brady just fucking wins. 10 Superbowls! He personally has been to more than any team/franchise in its history. He's won more rings himself than every other team except the Steelers, who have the same. He went to a new team, a team that hasn't been to the SB in 18 years. And takes them straight back to it. At 43 fucking years old.

I hate the way he wins. I hate his polished media persona. I hate his hot but bitchy wife. Fuck Tom Brady.

I really hope the far more talented Mahomes cleans him up. And then he better enjoy it, because no way does Mahomes go on to have the career Brady has had. fucking GOAT. god i hate him, what a legend

Huge lesson for Mahomes and the Chiefs offensive line tonight.

Bucs really didn’t have to do anything special in offence and just let Brady and Fournette do their thing.

Pretty impressive Bucs defence. Bowles will likely be a red hot candidate in the 2022 HC cycle. The question is does he move on, or wait to take over from Arians.

The sensible thing would be to find a good landing spot and move, this Bucs team is 100% win now and will almost certainly need a major rebuild in the next couple of years. It would probably be a repeat of his Jets experience. But HC roles normally become vacant for a reason, so starting in an environment where people know you and have confidence in you might be a good choice.

I liked him when he was HC at the Jets. Some of the issues were definitely on him (game management, and adjusting from running the defence to being the 'CEO') but there was also an awful front office situation and he never really had the talent to be genuinely competitive. I'm hoping that he'll have a successful second stint, landing in a slightly better spot and learning from his mistakes at the Jets.

Goes to show how much of a crap shoot drafting players is. But his lower position helped him land with a great team with time to learn under a great coach. Does he realise his potential if he gets drafted higher to a poor team? No one will ever know. He commented often over the years that his pick position helped drive him, and I guess it is almost impossible to assess how much will, heart and guts a guy has
