They've got Grealish. Not sure they'll get either of the others.

I think Kane will go abroad. Messi could well go to City given it's a free & Pep is there, but I think he's more likely to stay in Europe somewhere.

Looking less and less like a power play by Barca but I still think he is still most likely to stay with Barca. Even rival clubs know the difference he makes to their league.

Great bit of business by the Villa Board. Grealish is a very good player, but never in a million years is he worth £100 million. It will fund the rebuilding of our squad for the next 3 or 4 years.

@mofitzy_ The speculation is that Messi will probably go to PSG.

English players are always overpriced.

I also expect Messi to stay at Barca.

That's how you do it. Now to spend the money wisely..... Spurs should be doing the same, if reports suggesting Citeh were willing to pay 150M for Kane (big if), I'd sell him now

Pep Guardiola has given a press conference. They are very interested in Kane but Spurs aren't willing to sell him for any price at the minute. They are not interested in Messi.

If Messi does end up at PSG who would have thought at the beginning of the year, that Messi and Ramos (the Barcelona and Real Madrid captains), would end up as teammates. It's a funny old world.

FFP is a sham. It is my understanding that the regulations that caused Messi to have to leave Barca are specific to La Liga. In addition, if they hadn't let his contract run out he could have had his deal extended and not be constrained by those regulations. In the UK Chelsea football club owe Abramovich hundreds of millions of pounds in loans that will never be paid back. And Citeh should be banned from the UCL because they are clearly running a rort with their sponsorship deals. And yet they slipped out of having to face sanctions too

It does seem that FFP rules are only enforced against the smaller clubs.

I read somewhere that FFP was designed to rein in the big clubs, but in fact it just cemented their dominance because they can hide it better. Smaller clubs struggle to keep up, and may face a day of reckoning as Leeds did all those years ago.

This was a few seasons ago, and I am sure it is worse now

Tonight (sat uk time) Wimbledon will play its first “home” game in front of fans for 30years, after ground sharing with palace for a decade, then reforming at the bottom and playing on Sunday league grounds and then kingsmeadow (Kingston) for another 17 odd years…first game in Wimbledon in front of fans

Harry Kane's price just went up I reckon.

I watched it from about 30 minutes in. Spurs played it very smart, defended deep as you have to do against City but didn't let them pass without pressure and kept on breaking up attacks. When they did break, the front 4 all got forward fast and were dangerous.

City looked hopelessly short of ideas until Kev de B came on and couldn't get a shot on target when they did get a chance. At least with Kane in the team, throwing a ball across hopefully might have had some reward.

For Spurs, Lucas Moura was very good and the 2 midfielders playing deeper (Skipp and Hojberg) did their job very well.

What's the chances of four West London clubs in EPL next season?

I can only laugh at this as this cup is the only thing we look as though we can win. Getting absolutely humped in the PL and it looks to continue this weekend when we play City

@hooroo you're a gunner? good pick up getting ramsdale, was only with us for half a season but will go down as a club legend, top bloke and was playing well below his level with us

not worried about it, its the first time we've got past the first round in years so to make the 3rd and to play a big "localish" club is a win
