They have the best of both worlds, treat the ABs purely as a business enterprise except your biggest customers will keep buying the product no matter how shite it gets. I support a boycott except I know it won't happen and half of you will think I am being melodramatic or disloyal. What's the point in supporting something if the fans have zero input?

Foster was the only part of the GH/Shag coaching tree that still existed at the end of 2019 as far as I can see. Arguably the tree is sprouting again with Cron coming back in as a mentor.

But its less about the tree and more about cutting off the dead wood. At the end of 2019 the old wood sprouted legs and walked away leaving the NZRFU with the dead wood. Which they planted and have reaped the fruit of their decision.

Will we lose to SA? I mean they just lost to Wales at home so it sounds like they aren't exactly hot shit this year, not that I've watched. And if we win that's more than enough for NZR to claim we are "building towards the RWC", which is so offensive as an AB fan when we are giving up 100+ year records.

Thought so. I wouldn't want to be Fozz's assistant either. What does he have to gain, how much of himself can he tangibly give to the team without being the HC? Fozz is beyond redemption and Scott is the winningest coach in Super Rugby. I'm no Razor fanboy. But he needs to be given full control

But Foster chose them. And he hasn't sought to replace them. So again, his decision making is called into question.

If the NZRU force him to change his assistants, what is to say the replacements fare any better if the man at the top is the handbrake?
