@Winger You sure are as I had banked that as a sure gap in the Cup Quarterfinal. Now after you have fixed the obvious mistake it looks like you have got me by the short and curlies with just one pick different between us in the games to come! Whatever the result that is unlikely to deprive you of the win. In fact I don't think it is even possible.

Tipping results are up along with the tipping form for next week. Only 4 games per weekend for 3 weeks as each team gets a week off. Points wise, these rounds will be scored at 15 points per result pick and 5 per category.

Best of the weekend was Crucial with 62 points, a second successive 62 and now just outside the the top 10. 59 for Chimoaus, Mikedogz and Dogmeat on a weekend when around half of the tippers picked 6/6 results. Higgins retains his large lead, now 28 points with previous champion Hydro11 in 2nd and Bartman, Winger & Triple T 5 points behind in 3rd.

Wins for BOP Chiefs, SunJags and both Hurricanes teams means that the Chiefs take over at the top with the SunJags just outside the play-off places.

The Cup semi-finals are Winger v Laurence & Langakali v Dolamite - we'll have time for a 2nd cup comp as there are still 10 rounds to go.

As above "Only 4 games per weekend for 3 weeks as each team gets a week off. Points wise, these rounds will be scored at 15 points per result pick and 5 per category." In other words, scoring is still out of 80, but each games is 50% more important.

Also - fucked up today's planned riding by spending the entire morning in the fucking shitstorm of every other fluffybunny who also went to the supermarket... just so I could stock up on booze in preparation for tomorrow's stupid goddamn religious-persecution liquor-laws.

Tipping certainly makes watching the rugby more exciting as your margins come and go when points are scored. I forgot how much fun. I was waiting for someone to knock on in the final moments of Canes v Clan. Any score either way was bad!

I was hoping the Landers got a lucky break and scored under the posts.

Categories were tricky to get but both Duluth and Rico#1 picked 3/4 - but the massive score they should have had was ruined by picking wins for the Reds and Highlanders respectively. Nearly the whole top 20 picked all the match results but Tim was top scorer with 57.5 with 3 margins out of 4. Tim shoots up to 2nd but still 22.5 behind Higgins who lost a bit of ground to most of the chasers.

The Cup final is between Winger and Dolamite. We will make this over a single weekend and you also need to be in the top 32 this weekend to make the next Cup draw.

The BOP Chiefs won again with a bonus point to go 4 clear of Barbarians who are 1 ahead of Canes Black. Game of the round was a 50-50 draw between Blues B and Canes Gold.

Missing tippers in recent weeks are @justin77, Fiamacho, @Nevorian @Canes4life - for the SunJags, both Kruse & Joan and Mary took the default score for late tips. (merciful for Kruse as the tips he did put in were so bad)

I stumbled across a screenshot I had of when I was second in the goddamn WORLD on some tipping comp - RugbyPass, I think... maybe a 6-Nations thing, or World Cup? Dunno.
Ever since I reached those heights, maybe I've taken it a little too seriously.
Should indeed accept that I'm likely to be shit... as I actually know less than fuck-all about Super Rugby. Except that Henry hasn't coached the ABs for a while... I know that. Because of every fucking thread about the current and "NEXT" (not yet "new") coaches.

And to be honest - I was more upset about the stupid fucking liquor licensing laws around a religious holiday, rather than the tipping comp. Sure... Jesus happened to die for somebody's sins around the Equinox... but not mine.

Totally anachronistic to be sure. There seemed to be way more cafe's open up here than previously. A majority I would say.

My local had a sign up that you were asked to read aloud - "I am here for the express purpose of dining".

Once you read it you were asked if you would like a drink while you decided what you would like to eat - and to take as long as you liked deciding.

The different behaviour around the 'Naki was notable.
Whangamomona - yeah, we're just doing hot chips - so buy some chips, have a beer. And upon going back to the bar for a 2nd, they hesitated, and I explained I was still "making my way through my meal".
Shining Peak Brewery - yeah, you need to have a meal, and not just "chips"... also - you must order food now, before I can get you a beer. But as a regular - chicken-bites will do. Also - offered to sneak a free takeaway can into my pocket upon leaving.
43 Brewing - got there just as kitchen closed, but again... a regular, so... we'll do you some hot chips, and that'll be enough.

I'd stop in every time I was passing through, in their old premises - travelling through to visit family in NP. Maybe 4 times in total, over a couple years?
Then nearly a year later, first time I get to visit the new location - and the bar manager recognises me, and greets me like a regular.
And for the last two summers or so - I've spent a heap of time up here... looking after the grandfather - and will typically drop in at 43 on the way back from a ride out to Whanga. They now automatically start a tab when I walk in.

Lol yep, the first time in theold place me and brother-in-law had a few beers out in garden bar, our Mrs's came in lookingm and then next time I went in about a month later was told stright as soon as I stuck head in door if I headed out back wife would be sent other way. Love the place, almost like old style pubs where they remember you properly.

Dan54 with the season best's score of 70.5, almost perfect except for missing the margin for the Waratahs game and having Waratahs as top scorers rather than Brumbies. Langakali 62 and all 4 category picks correct. At the other end of the scale, a season low of 7.5 for Corkscrew which meant that all non-tippers scored just 2.5.

Higgins increased his lead to 31 with Bartman and Winger in joint 2nd. Donsteppa and Crucial move into the top 10.

Langakali wins the Cup, Laurence failed to show making it a 62-2.5 final score. The Sequel Cup starts next weekend, top 32 scores of this weekend are in.

The unluckiest team in the comp is Blues B, for the second week running they were equal top scorers but were playing against the other top scorer. BOP Chiefs, Canes Black, Barbarians look comfortable as the top 3 with Canes Gold and SunJags battling it out for the 4th spot.

Best score for the weekend was Kruse with a new season high of 71 points. 20/20 for category picks, 4/4 picks for games and margin missed for Crusaders and Force wins. Rico#1 with 66 and Duluth 63 the next best. No huge change at the top and Higgins still leads by 31 overall with Winger and Hydro11 level in 2nd, Tim in 4th and Bartman dropping down to 5th.

Wins for BOP Chiefs and Barbarians mean they are almost certain for the play-offs, Canes Black and Gold clear in 3rd and 4th.

The Sequel Cup started with the top 32 from last week going into the draw. All ties decided except Winger and Triple T go into a replay.

@KiwiPie Looks like Barbarians also got a team record with 57? I look forward to the top of the table clash this weekend.
