No Henry, no Sears - not desperate to win this one - though, I'm far from convinced Henry, Sears, O'Rourke is our best ODI pace trio. Henry definitely is.

@Chris-B Ben Sears has been ruled out of the tournament due to a hamstring injury.
He is replaced in the Champions Trophy squad by Jacob Duffy.

@Daffy-Jaffy Aha - hadn't heard that, but actually, I'm not too disappointed.

I'm inclined to think Duffy is a better option at present.

If you can assume this is another 300+ pitch, that's a good start.

Babar Azam out to a simple caught and bowled by Smith. Babar looked a bit perplexed that it happened.

We're on top, but a good time to use the pressure to grab a couple of wickets.

Still travelling well.

Santner and Bracewell very economical... so far!

I can’t believe I’m the first to comment on this win at 8.47am.

Sounds like Mitchell, the much maligned Devon Conway and the even more maligned Tom Latham ( @Virgil would struggle to get his latest score ) got them home. Top stuff.

Don't get me wrong, it's great to see the likes of Tom and Devon in the runs. We need them firing if we have a chance to win the trophy

Any run of 3 games you can win in a harsh place like Pakistan builds your game and 2 wins v Pakistan sets up doubt in their mind for the Champions trophy opening game .
Latham was under a shit load of not scoring runs pressure and WK to a decent standard which he did,that is heaps of pressure if you have had to do it.'Pressure on your technique pressure on your mind set.

Let's agree to disagree. He's not really under selection pressure due to the set up of the squad. Rachin will come back in for Conway or Young.

Proof will be in the pudding of how Latham goes in the Champions Trophy.

Agree, happy to see Latham in the runs after his meagre run, even if helped in that innings. Conway also scored runs again so confidence gained from time in the middle is good.
Proof will be the tournament though, but great confidence for the squad regardless for winning
