And...now I'm annoyed that they didn't do a countback of boundaries!
That will haunt Afghanistan as one that got away, plenty of chances to win that match. Great game to watch, some crazy drama at the end there.

England have lost to the Windies, things going bad to worse for Baz and Harry Brook
Will still qualify - unless they lose to Scotland of course.

Pretty sure they are on the same side of the Super 8 draw as us.
Doesnt look to be alot to fear from them at the moment

England have really missed a trick by not having Michael Pepper in the squad as an opener.
he'd go really well with one of the other batsmen particular.

Oh heavens, how could I not know Salt but know a Warwickshire 2nd XI player...

Chris is to Afghanistan what Booboo is to the black caps.
Not sure I can take too much responsibility for that craziness!
The game was won and lost about 10 times.
Each teams' resolve not to lose, matched only by their determination not to win!
Anyone watching the Aussie v Zimbabwe game? Well Aussie are about to get their arses kicked. Aus need 29 off 6 balls and only have 1 wicket left.
@Canes4life No!
Thank god I didn't witness the great Australians get their arses handed to them by Zimbabwe....
i realise this is a sport forum, and we're all slightly weird, but genuine question, is anyone else you know aware that this tournament is taking place? I didn't know it had started until the day we lost to the Windies, didn't realise we'd already played a game, don't know when our next one is, haven't heard a single mention of it on tv, radio, even online. I've never cared about T20 but this feels even more ignored than usual.
I'm aware there was some noise about Pakistan and Bangladesh before the tournament as i listen to the Sky Cricket podcast but i don't really know what's happened. I have no idea how the tournament works (even though i had a look at the tables etc when i realised we were playing the Windies) and even if were winning, i would genuinely have no interest in finding out.
Genuinely curious if this is just a me thing, a UK phenomenon or whether this is true in other cricketing nations.

Doesn’t help with the over saturation of T20 cricket especially the world cups. It’s not even been 2 years since the previous one. It’s about money it’s not about glory or being a special event looked forward to

Fun fact!
Australia are 0-2 against Zimbabwe in t20 tournaments

Was aware, but I'm not 100% sure if I would have been aware and as engaged without a mad keen 12 year old fan in the house.
I did read a harsh but fair comment on the ABC Facebook page:
"The Loch Ness Monster has been sighted more times than Cam Green"
In the series against India in the leadup to the WC, I was far more interested in the ODI results than the T20 results. I still value that form of the game more, you need a better all round team to win. I've been watching a bit of this WC as the times of the first game are good, though there are a lot of shit games it seems. The finals should be better viewing.

One guess as to where he was from though.
Sao Tome and Principe?

Guinea-Bissau
So lost toss, NZ first game outside of Chennai too. Can we win the group? South Africa surely favourites lol
Great catch and Rachin out at least he got a couple of runs, six was good just no patience, need a good little partnership now
