T20 World Cup

Looking at the previous scores at Eden Gardens I'd be tempted to stack the team with batsmen.

@Bovidae I reckon Neesh has been badly underused as a batsman over his career.

I wouldn't mind seeing him picked and batted at 3 as a pinch hitter.

I see merit in that and he can certainly hit but the team is pretty stacked in terms of batsmen. It's the bowling that is the worry hence the need to get as many decent guys in there to turn the arm over and put the pressure on.

@MN5 We're going to have Phillips and Ravindra as bowling cover - whatever happens,

And Satnav can bat at 7.

Just a question of who the other four main bowlers are.

Lockie is locked in - so three more from Ish, McConchie, Duffy, Jamieson, Neesham.

One of these guys might only have to bowl a couple of overs - some of them may not need to bat.

All part of the crapshoot.

Game was basically won inside the first 10 overs when our bowlers had them 77/5
SA recovered well to post 169 but thats not likely to be a winning score. You need 200+ to be safe and you're not getting that when your top order is gone that early

Pretty funny how Rachin has gone from our batsman @ 3 struggling for runs and form to be our top wicket taker in this WC, with 11 wickets. Top wicket takers overall have 13...

Any changes needed for the team ? ( if you want to change a team that dished out such a hiding )

Neesham got a wicket but he also went for 14 an over ( next worst was McConchie with nine off his single over which he also took a couple of wickets )

They probably look at Neesham for batting insurance but I'd be tempted to bring Sodhi in

It's a good pickle for the selectors to have I guess.
