oh. i thought the initial kick off was 11am my time. my bad
@mariner4life This is the same FIFA that arbitrarily decided that a red card now no longer means a game's suspension?
It's the most corrupt sport on the face of the planet.
England cannot do this for another 20 minutes, they need to find an avenue to break out and get some possession
Based on the earlier game I’m assuming there’s about 15 mins of extra time still to play… ( fuck these water/ad breaks)
Fuck me I was close. 11 mins
Someone should point out to FIFA you can actually pause the clock when there’s a break
Surely you just dive in the box every five seconds until the ref awards you one? If they get the equalizer, England look to be up shit creek without a paddle.
What a game, that was exhausting to watch. Hydration break critical for England to reset and bring on another very tall centre-half

Always support team USA. It makes the worst kind of euros angry when they win.
The Yanks know how to rub it in as well which is always entertaining

Well cynically speaking the top players are getting extra games and are against weaker opposition. They should be putting in more goals (which is probably the point of the tournament).
The rules have been tinkered with over the decades, all the tinks in favor of the attackers.
Plus some of the finishing has been absolutely superb.
Almost like the strikers are aiming more for the post, than the goal.

Yeah, I’m following the World Cup and getting excited during the games.
But that doesn’t hide how corrupt fifa is.
It’s like watching the Tour De France or the Olympic 100 metres. It’s a spectacle, but it’s also a farce…
Although there has always been some dodgy FIFA dealings going on behind the scenes with hosting etc, I've never really thought there was match fixing etc.
But that's gone now given that Trump has said that "he asked for the review".
Have to assume that this dude will play, and given it's a home tournament that the crowd will be behind him, but every single thing about this is just so wrong.
