Yeah, but that game was embarrassingly bad.
Atleast in a RWC final both sides are trying to score.
That game last night was a non event. Argentina didn’t try to score, looked like they decided to play for penalties from the start.

My son said it was the first WC final he’s watched that didn’t feel like a WC final.

The fact there were very few true fans in amongst all the corporates and celebrities made the atmosphere very flat.

But at least fifa made more money from it.

It has looked easy/boring for decades because they have a production line of players of incredible technical ability.
All of whom can receive and turn and scan in heavy traffic.

Put Haaland or Kane up front for them and they would be the best team of all time.

One goal conceded in 8 games too.

I agree - the Argies aren't mugs and they were reduced to kicking and playing for pens for obvious reasons. France have great players but Spain were the better team - I wish the ABs were regarded in the same manner as Spain in footie.

@sparky or showing what happens when a good manager works with the players he’s got, not what he wants.

@Steven-Harris I think they will struggle to replace Rodri once he loses his legs. He is the key and I think he will probably start to decline in 2 years. Players like him rarely come around, Spain are lucky they've had two in the past twenty years.
