<p>Just read this tweet from ONE news reporter Kimberlee Downs: "BREAKING: IPC has suspended the Russian Paralympic Committee with immediate effect. No Russians will compete at Paralympics."</p>

<p>And then: "IPC President Sir Philip Craven says situation is tragic and catastrophic. Says he's "disgusted" by Russian govt."</p>

<p>Incredible finish to the women's race.</p>

<p>Plus a sickening crash to the race leader 15 minutes or so before the end, I genuinely hope not fatal.</p>

<p>That was all drama. Dutch girl had that race won, she was almost at the end of descent when she crashed - no way they would have caught her. Felt sorry for the American - rocked the hills, profited from the crash and was still ahead with the finish line in sight - and then to finish 4th.</p>

<p>The dutch girl should have wheeled it in a bit, like the American.</p>

<p>I found the BBC commentators a bit lame.  They went on at the mid-way point about how a 60s lead would win the race, and that group got easily hauled in.</p>

<p>Be sure to watch the cross-country mountain biking, I find that surprisingly addictive 4 years ago.</p>

<p>That was a nasty crash. She was just rag-dolled upside down on the kerb. I thought her back landed hard on the edge as well.</p>

I'll take a bad win. Yanks drew with Aus so not too shabby.

Far from convincing but a win is a win. Great courage and desperation on defence during the last couple of minutes but we made too many errors. Flush the dunny and move on

<p>Our sevens ladies need to show better discipline. Three yellow cards in the games I've watched - and Portia was lucky not to be given one for throwing the ball away vs US - same offence as she was given one in the first game.</p>
