Here we go blaming the pitch. How about blaming some terrible shot choices? Williamson's dismissal was really the only one where the bowler actually got him out the other dismissals were just poor decisions.
Play with a straight bat and maybe let a few balls go through to the keeper. No need to try and smack every ball to the boundary its test cricket after all. This T20 shit has stuffed players abilities to play genuine cricket shots when it's needed.

It can be both.

Henry starting to pick up a lot of injuries.
Harder being the main man than the bit player
bugger, didn't realise he was injured. Everyone else certainly played their part though.

Just watched the highlights. Our top order have to take a good look at themselves
Yours and ours

He's always been injury prone. Had about three or four seasons mainly injury free and showed what he can do.

And dare I say it, Kane is starting on the slippery slope that begins once they reach the career phase of picking and choosing when they'll play.
Hopefully he'll still have a few legendary innings to go, but I fear they'll be fewer and further between...

I was thinking along the same lines. Hopefully he doesn't harm his legacy
Just seen the highlights again.
Not much wrong with the pitch. Five of the Black Caps top order (and our specialist keeper) either couldn't read or play for inswing. And Kane had little idea in his dismissal.
Kylo erupts. Do I recall correctly that Kylo scored a 50 either on debut or in his early test career?
Yep, he has a test 50. Looked like a promising all rounder initially, till his batting got exposed a bit.

Yes.
Apparently Matt Henry is padded up and will bat next. He will warm up to bowl and see if he can bowl

If the poms keep feeding him short pitched stuff, he might get another one
All out, Jamieson denied the Honours Board. This morning mostly playing too far inside the line.
Is Robinson the guy whose career was stalled by something he posted on social media when he was 16?
Length and line will be critical for us. Kylo has started well. As I type he bowls a wide long hop and gets away with it. Just be patient boys, and let the pitch do it's magic
Jamieson and Smith right on line. So far the English batsmen haven't been good enough to nick one!
Ravindra with a really poor dropped catch. He's been a food bill in this test so far. Does he need his eyes checked?
Fuck wake up Ravindra you have sleep walked through the game so far.
Dropped 2 sitters and a first ball duck.

Pretty much. He also had some perceived issues with his fitness levels. The real reason though was apparently because they wanted guys bowling at 85mph average and he was considered not fast enough.
All I would say to that is that Glenn McGrath was not exactly express pace and he seemed to go OK.

The game is rapidly getting away from us
