Black Caps Test Tour to England & Ireland

Bones

It. Bit rough.

Donsteppa

Crowe-Thorpe is very poignant as a trophy, both those two lost far too young. That article is a good read.

The thing with Ravindra he is very naturally talented,But I have seen this a lot, he gets bored batting it is almost too easy so he finds ways to get himself out.
He needs to get hungry and set targets to stay focused.

Mark Waugh/David Gower syndrome

After two weeks of heat and sunshine forecast this week …. Rain.

Got a members ticket Thursday too.

Shithouse.

That first choice side looks extremely strong provided everyone is fit.

Top six set in stone. Most settled and best top order in New Zealand Cricket history.

Smith benefits from a strong showing against Ireland. 8/9/10 can all bat too which is such a bonus.

Foxcroft did everything right except get a ton. Like Mitch Hay earlier this year he can count himself pretty unlucky assuming Phillips or Santner get in ahead of him. Only got to bowl one over too.

Exactly right

Well, they can't all be KW. I'd happily settle for a record similar to those guys from Ravindra to be honest.

Yeah but he could be more .

Might bring tears to a few eyes.

Especially @virgil

Lovely tribute.

I still remember the day at Eden Park when Marty came out onto the field during the interval of the New Zealand v Australia cricket world cup pool match. The noise and the feeling of love for him was huge. He lapped it up with grace. A lot of dust around that day

No Quarter

I was at the Basin when he got out for 299, too young to remember much at all, but one memory that sticks with me is he just ran off the field back to the changing shed while us kids were trying to get his attention haha. I don't think I realised the significance of getting out for 299 at the time so wondered why he didn't acknowledge anyone. I understand he smashed like 20 bats after that? I would have smashed about 100 if it were me!

That's a lovely tribute from England, really nice to see

I definitely remember hearing him smash the one he used out in the middle when he walked around the corner of the tunnel

Bovidae

Latham called right and we're bowling.

If Duckett and Bethell are the first two wickets to fall the commentators could have all sorts of awkward moments with the names of the two guys at the crease.

That's very good πŸ‘πŸ‘

Jamieson with the first wicket. Caught by Mitchell

England 16/1

Luckily, we caught the Gay and he's been sent packing.

There goes that moment ruined, thanks a lot Jamieson !

Hopefully it happens once in the series

......if only to see the names together on the scoreboard.....

Reminds me of when this happened.....

Good to see Jamieson strike early and keep that ridiculous average under 20.

That really is an extraordinary figure. He is definitely tailor made for the longest format of the game.

England have quite a bit of batting to come though.

Simon Doull lashed county cricket a few minutes ago. Circa 11.17pm for those who are recording

Bones

Duckett gone.

Root Bethell at the crease. Hahaha that's hilarious

Donsteppa

O'Rourke with a beauty of an LBW. Not sure what the on field Umpire was seeing there, as that was dead set plumb.

Donsteppa

Now Nathan Smith gets carried away with a shocker of a review, a massive inside edge.

Donsteppa

Was a tough chance, but can't afford to drop Brook it seems.

England's lowest score is 122, looks like they will get past that at least, maybe just

117/8

Bones

Yeah, well, fuck cricket.

Bones

13 wickets in half a day at like less than 4 runs an over?

Bones

England better up their ante. At this rate we might even score 20. Watch out world.

It’s a day for bowling. Very hard batting under lights on a grey day at Lords.

sparky

What a dog of a cricket wicket and disgusting weather too.

Home of Cricket? Bollocks to that.
